Like most Maldivians, our founder spent a significant part of his youth and early adulthood working in various roles in 5-star resorts. Over the course of 25 years, he gained extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, starting from the back of the house, waiter, room services, and eventually working his way up to become a senior watersport instructor and senior tour guide. Having met millions of tourists over the years, he understand that many people dream of revisiting Maldives but find it too expensive. He believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of Maldives without breaking the bank.

The Maldives is a paradise on earth, known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and world-renowned diving sites. Maldives is famous for its luxurious beach vacations, honeymoon getaways, and water-villa resorts. The resort tourism in Maldives began in 1972 but Maldives first local guest house was just opened in 2010. With data published by the Ministry of Tourism in late 2022, there are now more than 850 guesthouses and hotels operational across 188 local islands in the Maldives, in addition to 170 resorts.

The Covid pandemic allowed me to spend more time on my home island, Feridhoo, which is located in the Alif Alif Atoll and just a 90-minute direct speedboat ride away from Male/Airport. During this time, I noticed the rapid growth of local island tourism, which had changed significantly since my previous experiences in the industry. This realization inspired me to establish Get-go Adventures and offer a different kind of experience for visitors to the Maldives. We specialize in local island tour packages that providing our guests with an authentic Maldivian experience with its culture, beliefs, and traditions. Traveling by public ferry and speedboat, staying on an inhabited island where the local community benefits directly from the income gained from tourism.
